Swimming
Due to COVID-19, we will be creating "pool-like" fun at the center! Unfortunately, field trips have been removed from our schedule until further notice.
Reading Programs
Our fun reading incentive program fosters a life long love of reading.
Crafts
Get Creative! Our craft projects are a favorite activity for both the children and the staff.
Field Trips
Field trips are usually a fun way for us to learn and explore the Iowa City area. Due to COVID-19, we are removing field trips from our schedule until further notice.
T-shirts
Our t-shirts are usually designed entirely by the children. We will be keeping this tradition through a tie dye craft where children will create their own unique shirt!
Summer Camp Weekly Themes
Where the Wild Things Are (June 3-5)
Come with us to explore the "wild things" in our surrounding area. We will be hiking, swimming, and visiting the Devonian fossil gorge.
Full STEAM Ahead! (June 8-12)
Grab your safety goggles and lab coat! This week will be filled with science, engineering, art and technology exploration.
Kids Care All Stars (June 15-19)
Ready, set, go! We’re getting active this week playing sports games, attending a Cedar Rapids Kernels Game, and a visit from special athletes.
Bring your appetite! This week will be full of fun with food!
Happy Birthday, America (June 29-July 2)
This week we will be celebrating America’s 244th birthday with food, friends, and fun! Kids Care will be closed Friday, July 3 in honor of our country’s birthday.
The Rainbow Fish (July 6-10)
“The Rainbow Fish shared his scales left and right. The more he gave away the more delighted he became.” Join us in spreading kindness on our visits to the area pools and splash pads.
Goodnight, Moon (July 13-17)
It’s time to relax! Join us in your comfy clothes as we do yoga, watch movies, and kick back.
Seussland (July 20-24)
Oh, the places we’ll go! We will be making trips to the library and park. Be sure to look out for the sign up to bring your furry friend to camp!
Calling All Wizards! (July 27-31)
Find your magic wands and your wizard cloak! This week Griffendor, Syltherin, Hufflepuff, and Ravenclaw will battle for the House Cup!
If You Give a Kid a… (August 3-7)
Paintbrush, pen, marker, crayon…. We will be using them all! Which one will be your young artists favorite?
